School orchestras need help now. After spending the night at a Buddhist monastery in Suzhou, China, I reconfirmed my awareness that we must extend assistance to school orchestra teachers and the families of our students and potential students in order to get the message to school boards that orchestra is an integral part of a community that must be supported and sustained.
